Oakyoon Cha

I received BA in psychology, MS and Ph.D. in cognitive science, all from Yonsei University. Subsequently, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University before joining Sunghsin Women's University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology. In this position, I have the pleasure of mentoring a team of talented young scientists at Moonshine Vision Lab.

My primary area of interest is exploring how we perceive visual objects when they appear in large numbers (e.g., how we perceive the average emotion of a huge crowd), and how this process (ensemble perception) contributes our visual awareness.
